In my mind Jackson Lamb is Timothy Spall and Catherine Standish is Olivia Coleman and I think they nailed it. That said, the casting is great, everyone is great. Location scouts should have a big shout out, Slough House is just what I imagined. Mood, curiosity and speed are as good as tinker, tailor, soldier, spy. I have loved books so much. Glad this one didn’t get the over-the-top Hollywood treatment that these things often do. It retains the trashiness and humor that made the books so much fun. I’m on episode four and can’t stop..
