Man, I wanted to like this
Media pundit Muncie Daniels must fight for his innocence and life after stumbling upon a murder deep in the Poconos. Colman Domingo’s first leading role on television. I’ve liked other things Colman has done, but this is a waste of time.
He’s not that kind of lead
Really questionable and predictable story choices and, sorry to say, not great acting overall. And poor Colman is just miscast here. It reminded me of when Tyler Perry tried to play Alex Cross.
It’s just incredible
As the show dragged on, and scene after scene of two people inexplicably whispering plot points to each other (why not SHOW us?), it was really hard to stay awake. Watching Colman run was painful. It’s always funny to me when non-athlete actors get the opportunity to play action-packed roles.
On to the next one
(He wasn’t very good with action in Fear the Walking Dead, and he’s not here either.) This always makes me stand out and reeks of a vanity project. His mouth hangs open in every scene when he’s “thinking” (which shows he’s not comfortable and concerned about playing “fairly” in my opinion). Not everyone gets the chance to become an action star.
