A man takes his wife and their teenage children on a trip down memory lane as they deal with their divorce. Writer/director Florent Bernard watched a lot of movies about parents getting divorced and realized that they were either comedies or dramas, with very little in between. . . . . It was also always shown from the parents’ perspective, not the children’s, so he wanted to address this theme, creating a bittersweet comedy with nostalgia and funny scenes, while fully including the children in the story. During the breakfast scene at the beginning of the film, Sandrine’s children look down at their cereal bowl in front of them in one shot, then suddenly at their mother, who is off to the side, in the next shot (1902)
